International Closet Center - FAQ
Business to Business
I run my own closet business. As a B2B Company, how can ICC help me?
ICC is much more than just a closet parts manufacturer. We can help you maximize your business efforts with our state of the art design software, our expert consulting service, and our systems make installation a snap. Whether wholesale or retail, we're here for you.
What materials do you use?
We use only the best products in the industry. All of our systems are manufactured from industrial grade 3/4” American Thermally Fused Melamine, making our products some of the strongest and most durable on the market. Other companies may only use 5/8” (17% thinner), or commercial grade, (15% less dense) or foreign Melamine. Our Materials comply with the formaldehyde emission requirements for particle board in CPA 3-08. Our hardware and accessory suppliers are some of the best known in the industry.
Are your systems floor-mounted or wall hung? And why should I choose one over the other?
Our closets are floor-mounted. We do this because floor-mounted systems support their own weight and utilize all available vertical space for shelving. Each vertical panel is precision drilled at 32mm, making the system easy to change as your needs change. For example, if you want to change a double-hang unit to a shoe shelf, it can easily be done. A floor-mounted system also provides a nicer, more finished look. For a better idea, take a look at our customizable modular units.
How do your prices compare to your competitors?
To secure some of the best pricing available, we are our own provider, meaning, we make our own parts, we do not have to buy them from another supplier. We are a family owned and operated company with very low overhead, no franchise fees or royalties, and no national advertising budget to help finance. We are confident that you will find our prices consistently lower than our major competitors. If for some reason you receive a better price, give us the opportunity to review the design and quote with you so that we can point out differences in space usage and materials. We will gladly provide a quote for the same design and materials.
Do you only do Closet Systems?
No, we specialize in custom storage systems for all areas of the home. Garages, pantries, laundry/mud rooms, entertainment centers and home offices are some of our main areas of expertise. If you would like to see a sample of our designs in all of these areas please see our design gallery.
Can a custom storage system add value to my customer's homes?
Yes! According to the National Association of Home Builders, inadequate storage space is the top complaint of new homeowners. Many Realtors have expressed to us that adequate and well-designed storage/closet space can be the “make-or-break” decision factor for many homebuyers. Custom storage solutions sell homes more quickly. We can design a system that will offer you maximum return on your home improvement investment. Upon the sale of your home, an appraiser will give added value for such upgrades. The key is to improve your home to meet your needs as well as keeping your resale value in mind. In this real estate market most people are improving their current homes to include all their wants and needs and settling in until the market rebounds.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover credit cards. We also accept personal and business checks as well as cash. For your convenience we now offer financing as well.

What are the benefits of having a custom closet in my home?
Our custom closets are designed and built to meet your individual needs, whatever they may be. A designer will come to your home, measure the space and take inventory of your belongings. The designer will count shoes, folded shirts, handbags, ties and belts, and measure your pants, shirts and long dresses, then design the closet accordingly. With a custom closet you will not only maximize your space, there will be a place for everything, which makes it easy to keep your closet neat and organized.
Why should I hire a professional rather than doing it myself?
While it may seem attractive to save some money by ordering the materials from an online do-it-yourself source, the reality is that the risks, costs, and the time it takes to do so can quickly outweigh the savings, not to mention you're getting a lower quality product. We are professionals and this is our business. We design, manufacture, and install custom space systems every day, and we know what to look for to make sure our systems function and fit properly. Our custom manufacturing capability allows us to create systems that are simply impossible with DIY kits, and we can propose solutions to your space needs that aren’t available anywhere else. The hassles of do-it-yourself systems usually outweigh the benefits: bringing the product home or unloading it from a freight truck and carrying it into the space; if one measurement is wrong or one piece is cut incorrectly, it can potentially throw off the whole project; if one piece is missing, you’ll have to wait for another. Our skilled consultants and experienced installers are trained to design around obstructions, ceiling heights, and angled walls, to make the best use of your space based on your needs. Please keep in mind that while we do offer DIY kits, and you are able to buy every piece of your system and self-install, we highly recommend having a professional consultation before attempting this.
Can I install my own closets?
Of course! Due to our QUICKfit system, installation is a snap. However we recommend, having a professional consultation before doing this, because every measure must be exact. Schedule your consultation now!
Can you work with any budget?
Yes. There are many decisions that affect the cost of a system and we’re typically able to make recommendations that will help you fit the closet within your budget. Our consultants help clients through the selection process to identify systems that meet their needs and stay within their budgets.
How long does it take?
Some systems can be completed as quickly as 5 business days from consultation to installation. Typically though, most systems take about 10 to 14 business days to complete with the most complex or custom systems taking 14-30 days.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover credit cards. We also accept personal and business checks as well as cash. For your convenience we now offer financing as well.
Will you remove my old fixtures?
More than likely. When a new closet system is installed (unless it is designed to go with existing fixtures) the old fixtures need to be removed.

How can I maximize space and be more organized?
An experienced designer will be able to design your closet, garage, pantry and/or laundry rooms to maximize whatever space you have, no matter how large or small.
Are your systems floor-mounted or wall hung? And why should I choose one over the other?
Our closets are floor-mounted. We do this because floor-mounted systems support their own weight and utilize all available vertical space for shelving. How flexible are your systems if my needs change?
Our solutions are designed so that you can easily move components and shelves as your needs change. We typically offer more shelves than you may need so that you can store them in case you find the need for them sometime later.
